Isabel Porto's MFA Thesis Artwork (2014)

Isabel Porto create her Perceptual Drawing. Photography by Dave Brown, University of Calgary Photography Services.

This project was initiated through Isabel Porto's MFA thesis project, Perceptual Drawing which took the form of drawings in the +15 pedestrian link between the Taylor Family Digital Library and the MacKimmie Library Block. To raise awareness of this ongoing artwork I recorded Isabel's drawing sessions and used these to generate a media wall display to encourage people passing by on the main floor (approximately 10K+/day during the school year) to visit the second floor and see the work in person.

The media wall display was developed for the TFDL's main floor media wall (8 1080p LCD TVs in a 2X4 array).

Other and more recent art by Isabel Porto can be found at isabelporto.com.
